Our mission
Europe is being reshaped by three revolutions at once: technological, ecological and geopolitical. Artificial intelligence is transforming power, climate change is rewriting economic priorities, and the return of war and great-power rivalry is dismantling the certainties of the post-war order. Democracy cannot afford to stand still. Inequality, declining trust, disinformation and the concentration of technological power are weakening the social contract and creating fertile ground for populism and authoritarianism. The answer is not nostalgia but renewal: a democracy capable of adapting, protecting social justice and restoring participation while remaining anchored to freedom and the open society. That is the ambition behind Democrats Review: to become a space for reflection, ideas and action for those who believe Europe’s democratic future must be built — not merely defended.
